What 2018 will bring?
Hallo there my dear artsy friends!!!
I am sitting here behind my computer , whilst it is freezing outside, just thinking how thankful i am, for all of you! Yes you! You are my core followers and friends that always get to know everything first! You are the ones I get to share all my exciting news with!
And ....I have some news for you!
I signed a new licencing contract with a lovely dutch company , called STUDIO LIGHT. They manufactur alot of paper products, stamps and dies for the craft industry and is a well known, well established company in The Netherlands.
In April my new Signature Collection will be launched with them!
This line is something that I have been dreaming of for a long time. Not only do I have a whole range of hand drawn, top quality artists cling stamps for you, but I will also be launching my first ART JOURNAL! It is not an ordinary art journal, I can tell you that much....It is extraordinary! It gives you the possibility to use your gel prints, your alcohol inks/yupo paper, your typewriter, your stamping platform...your typewriter and more on those pages. Can't wait to share the inside with you, but here is a sneak peek of the A4 size journal cover!
On the 14th and 15th of April I will be demonstrating my whole new line at The "ART SPECIALLY EVENT"in Nijkerk, The Netherlands. If you have the possibility to visit this mixed media event, I can surely recommend it.
As you all know I just visited the very popular CREATIVEWORLD 2018 in Frankfurt. My new designs and samples with the Crafter's workshop was shown there at the TCW stand. I have 7 new designs out in 2 different sizes each. It was great to see Ken Oliver from Colorburst demoing with his lovely pigment powders and my stencil designs at the NOTIONS booth.
During The Creativeworld I demostrated at the GRAFX ARTS booth. I was lucky enough to have been asked by Grafix to design a few sheets of artist shrink film for them. My co-designers on this project(they have pretty amazing sheets themselves too!)was Gina Lee Kim and Julie Fei Fan Balzer. I love using the Faber Castell PiTT pens on the shrink film, to give it colour. It is waterproof once dry, but when wet, you can still move it around a bit.
As all of you know I teach several art journaling classes and playful painting classes a week. In January my art journaling students started with a junk journaling project and my playful painting class has grown and has several new students. I also still tutor some workshops all over the netherlands.
well ....I can keep you busy for ages ...but it is time to move on. Please remember that if you use any products designed or insprired by me, use the hashtag #artbymarlene so I can find it on social media and if you are on Facebook, don't forget to post your projects in the WHIMSICAL, BRIGHT AD BOLD CREATIVES group!
